The cost to fabricate a Countertop is based on the total Square Feet of surface area to be covered with the Countertop.
A Backsplash can be made from the same material as the Countertop and is installed along the back and side walls to protect against water and stains. This is particularly important when the Countertop is installed around sinks and stove tops.
The cost for the Backsplash is based on the total Square Feet of wall area to be covered.
A standard Backsplash is 4" - 5" high and extends for the total width of the Countertop.
A full height Backsplash, covering the entire wall from the Countertop to the bottom of the upper cabinets, provides maximum protection against water and stains while offering a contemporary aesthetic. However, because it covers more of the wall, a full height Backsplashes will be more expensive.
